When a fed-up Sandra Claus (no relation to Santa) quits her job at a Christmas pop-up bar after fighting with her boss and potential love interest, she lands a temp job in Santaland only to discover that the corrupt head of the Elf union, Mistletoe Jones, is conspiring with management to replace the elves with gig workers—starting with Sandra.
Synopsis
The day after Thanksgiving the delivery drivers for Udder, a bottled milk company, go on strike. When Udder’s CEO, Jacklyn, orders her daughter, Sandra Claus, to lead the scab brigade, Sandra refuses. At her serving job in a Christmas pop-up bar in Chicago Sandra’s boss, Bjørn, pressures her into finding a strike workaround – he needs Udder’s premium raw milk for his over-priced best-selling signature egg nog. Sandra tells him to go to hell and quits in frustration. She ends up at a Holiday Temps where she secures a gig in Santaland working the coal mines. There Sandra quickly gets on the wrong side of the powerful head of the elf union, Mistletoe Jones, who threatens to have her deported when she questions him about her less than ideal working conditions. Soon after Sandra discovers that Mistletoe is brokering a dirty deal with management to replace the Elves with gig workers - starting with Sandra. Sandra faces an impossible dilemma: protect Mistletoe's secret and secure her own position in Santaland, or stand with the elves in their fight to save their jobs, their community, and their storied role in the magic of Christmas.
