Groped

Hello!

You have landed on this page because you are concerned about the on-going revelations of sexual violence, sexual harassment and the toxic culture of silence which enables predatory behavior in the workplace. My short film Groped is a direct response to the misogyny and workplace quid pro quo coercions which have plagued the entertainment industry . With Groped I honor the brave women who have come forward to put a check on violence against women in Hollywood and have encouraged survivors to take back power through the #MeToo movement. In making and distributing Groped I seek to push back against those who advocate for silence and to demand transparency and accountability with the goal of creating a safe working environment for everyone.

Groped dramatizes one woman’s effort to push back against being silenced after being sexually assaulted by her boss.

I have submitted Groped to the film festivals listed below with the hope of getting it widely distributed in order to surface, foster and perpetuate the conversations which survivors of workplace sexual harassment initiated with the #MeToo movement. I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer to support my campaign for getting Groped programmed at any of the festivals below (perhaps you have a contact). Or, you can share suggestions for a festival or distribution venue which would be interested in programming Groped. Alternatively, you can watch the film here and send me a message directly or through the form below (which can be anonymous - first name, last name and email are not required to be filled out). By sending me a message you give me permission to share your review/thoughts/comments on the project page for Groped on FilmFreeway which is only available to festival staff.
